Days that have already happened now render slightly faded, so today and the week ahead read first — no more double-take at Monday's locations on a Thursday. Everything stays legible; it's a nudge, not a redaction. The grid also rolls over correctly at midnight now, so a tab left open overnight doesn't keep yesterday looking current.

The grid used to spend a full row announcing each team before listing its members. Those header rows are gone — every member now carries a small role · team badge inline, so the same grouping reads at a glance and more of your team fits on one screen.

Editing a teammate from the grid is quicker and calmer:

• Fields use inline labels, so the popover reads like a compact form.
• Save is always visible, but stays disabled until you change something.
• The place combobox opens on your first keystroke and offers an Add option when nothing matches, so new places don't dead-end.
• Opening and closing is a quick pure fade — no more sliding around.

Blank days no longer tell you nothing. When a teammate has a primary place set, their empty weeks show it as a faint label with per-day dots — enough to answer "where are they, probably?" without claiming certainty. Real calendar events still render at full strength on top.

A batch of polish for the moments before your calendar data lands:

• The loading skeleton renders your real week and day headers, so columns never shift once events arrive.
• Day columns are pinned to a fixed width, with an ellipsis and tooltip for long labels.
• Today's column is highlighted from the very first paint.
• Event cells shimmer in with a diagonal scatter instead of popping in all at once.

The toolbar has a location filter. Pick the places you care about — the list is searchable once your org has more than a handful — and the grid shows only matching members. Everything is selected by default, so nothing changes until you ask it to.

Calendar titles like WF NYC until 2pm now resolve to the right place. The matcher ignores trailing time qualifiers instead of treating them as part of the location name.

Drag across a teammate's row to suggest a WF or OOO date range. wya DMs them on Slack with a prefilled Add to my calendar link — wya never writes to anyone's calendar, so they add the event themselves and the next sync picks it up. Sent suggestions show as small markers on the grid until they're accepted, and you can unsend or hide them at any time.

The grid now opens with a per-day Locations summary — a running band of where people will be each day, so you can spot office-heavy days at a glance. Members also gained a primary place, which powers their defaults across the app.

Settings now holds your org's work-from places — the shorthands your team actually types, like nyc, sf, or tor. Calendar titles resolve against that vocabulary, so the same place reads the same way everywhere in the grid.

The grid no longer waits on calendars. Member rows and date headers render immediately from a fast shell, and event cells shimmer in as each calendar responds — so the page is useful in well under a second even on large orgs.

Plenty of teams declare "wf tomorrow" in Slack rather than on a calendar. wya can now scrape a Slack channel and extract those messages into structured WF and OOO declarations, with an admin review screen — thumbs up or down on each extraction — before anything is trusted.

wya now reads Google Calendar's built-in out of office and working location event types directly, alongside keyword matching on event titles like OOO and WF NYC. If your team already uses Google's native features, the grid just works — no naming conventions required.

The core view landed: every teammate against the next several weeks, grouped by org, team, and role. WF cells show the location rather than a generic badge, overlapping events stack inside a single cell, and clicking a name opens a popover to edit someone's org, role, and team in place. It's now the first thing you see when you open wya.

wya pulls the member directory straight from your Google Workspace org — suspended and archived accounts filtered out — so there's nothing to invite or maintain. Org, team, and role fields come along for grouping and can be edited in wya.
